Few things are more anticipated than the summer boating season on Lake Geneva – and for good reason. Our combination of relaxing lake life, exciting activities, and one-of-a-kind food, drink, and shopping scene is truly special.
With spring already emerging, summer is officially on its way! This means that Gage Marine, Lake Geneva Cruise Line, and PIER 290 are already making preparations for warmer temps, sunny skies, and days spent out on the water.
For locals and guests alike – there are many reasons to be excited for another unforgettable summer on Lake Geneva with Gage’s family of brands. After all, “Lake Life Begins with Gage!”
1) New Gage Management Additions
Spring has always been a season of transition for the Gage family of brands, but this year, we have an especially exciting number of managerial changes and improvements.
FJ Frazier, COO, joins Gage Marine Corp. with years of executive experience at Arnold Palmer, Gateway Computers, and Kohl’s Department Stores. Fun Fact: FJ’s father was one of Gage Marine’s first employees back in 1959.
Dave Freese also joins us as VP of Operations. Having built one of the largest real estate appraisal companies in the Chicagoland area, Dave will now work with all three divisions of Gage to support new initiatives and promote exceptional customer service at all times.
Bill Grunow is our new General Manager at Gage Marine. Sporting 30+ years of boat service experience as a former marine owner, Bill now leads the team at our Hwy 50 dealership location.
Max Gordon, Sales Manager at Gage Marine, comes to us with nine years’ experience in the marine industry as a highly recognizable face within Lake Geneva’s thriving boating community. You’ll see plenty of him on social media and in-person this summer.
2) New Boat Models are Hitting the Water
What could be better than checking out the latest and greatest boat models in showrooms and on the lake? That’s exactly what you’ll discover on your next visit to Gage Marine.
We have many new and pre-owned models of Chris-Craft, MasterCraft, Monterey, Boston Whaler, and Bennington Pontoons on display – both at our waterfront location in Williams Bay and our Hwy 50 showroom in Delavan.
This is a great time to trade in your current boat, as we’re bringing in a variety of new inventory this year. Come and see for yourself at our 2019 Spring Boat Show, which will be held May 4th and 5th at 1 Liechty Drive in Williams Bay and feature a wide range of models for all your boating needs.
3) Full Boat Service is Starting Soon
There’s nothing more frustrating than boat trouble, especially when you just want to kick back on the lake. Fortunately, Gage Marine can provide you with assistance.
Starting the last week in April, our world-class boat service department will be open for business 7 days a week, all-summer-long.
If your boat could use some tuning up, woodwork treatment, fiberglass repair, or other form of maintenance, be sure to give us a call and we’ll take good care of you. We can even meet you at your pier!
4) Lake Geneva Cruise Line’s First Tours & Charters are Starting Up
With a select group of tours on the water beginning as soon as April 27th, Lake Geneva Cruise Line’s floating headquarters has officially moved to the Riviera, where it will stay for the entirety of the summer. That means first tours and charters are in the works and underway.
If you look forward to laid-back, summer fun each year, sporting a cocktail or dish of ice cream, you will love the cruise line’s sightseeing and specialty lake tours!
Planning a private occasion? You can easily book a boat charter for an upcoming family, wedding, or corporate event as well.
The official start of the season for Lake Geneva’s top attraction on the water is May 4th for daily and weekend cruises to be running at full capacity, so be sure to make your reservations online or over the phone at 262-248-6206.
5) PIER 290 Will Soon Launch Their Summer Hours & Menu
After Memorial Day, PIER 290, our high-end, casual restaurant, will switch over to their summer hours, which run 7 days a week throughout the season. Offering light and fresh menu items for spring and summer, as well as many classic cocktails, PIER 290 is the only restaurant on Lake Geneva you can visit by land or by lake.
Simply pull up, dock your boat, and enjoy the covered outdoor patio, bar, and beach seating with plenty of comfortable indoor dining space as well, if you’re looking to beat the heat.
This year, PIER 290 has a new management team. General Managers Adam Farrell and Colin Cummings, are providing a much-needed one-two punch to help update and improve PIER 290’s menu and create consistent, memorable customer experiences with every meal.
If you’ve stopped by in the past, you may want to make a point to come again this summer!
6) Exclusive Boat Club & Valet Service for Your Convenience
No boat, no pier, no problem! As a Gage Marine boat club member, we offer a convenient timeshare program, so you can still get out and enjoy the sunshine in style.
With daily time slots offered from 9am to 12:30pm, 1pm to 4:30pm, and 5pm to 8pm, just make a reservation, check-in, and hop into a boat with tubes, skis, and wakeboards available upon request.
We also provide In & Out Valet service from May through September at Gage Marine. Allow our safe and experienced staff to handle the hassle of launching and retrieving your boat for you, so you can focus on enjoying quality time on the lake.
